Jelly's Story

Jelly arrived at NCCR 5/1/26, ready and excited to meet her forever family. She is an approximately 8–9-month-old spayed female Husky mix. She probably has at least one or two other breeds in her mystery mix, too. Jelly weighs approximately 45 lbs. and may grow a little more over the next few months, but likely won’t get too much bigger. As with all young dogs & puppies, she will need ongoing daily training, lots of exercise, attention, and playtime, and plenty of patience & love to help her grow into the best dog she can be!

*Approved applicants are welcome to participate in our popular Slumber Party program and take a dog home for up to 2 weeks to make sure he/she is a great fit.

If you think you might be interested in adopting, your first step should be to complete an Adoption Application at www.caninerescue.org. *After you have completed your application, you will get a confirmation that we have received your application. It takes a lot of time to process the applications, so we ask for your patience while we do so. If you see that the dog you were interested in has been adopted it means there were many applications for that dog and we did not get as far processing your application before a home was found. We welcome you to apply again when you see another dog that interests you. If you have a question, please email us at adoptions@caninerescue.org. It is much easier and quicker for us to respond by email as we receive many phone calls each day.

We do adopt out of state, however we do not transport or ship dogs. Potential adopters must be able and willing to travel to the Rescue to meet the dog they are interested in.

*PLEASE double check all of the phone numbers that you provide. If they are incorrect, we will not be able to process your application. Please also let your references know that someone from NCCR will be calling them. Most adoption team members call from their personal phone, so advise your references that there may be an unknown or private number calling them. Thank you!
