General Requirements Pets must be provided with Veterinary Care: Animals are NOT disposable. Sick animals should be taken promptly to a qualified veterinarian (contact us for referrals). It is not acceptable to neglect to treat a sick animal, or to euthanize an animal for whom reasonable medical treatment is available. Owners should be prepared to take their pet in for routine veterinary medical care such as check-ups, vaccinations, dental work, spay/neuter, tumor removals, or medical treatment as is necessary for the animal's particular species. Care and Sanitation Requirements: Owners must provide their pets with a safe place and ensure that they have clean food and water on a daily basis. Animals should be kept clean, included ears and trimmed nails. Owners must have safe materials around pets, including non-toxic plants and safe cleaning supplies. Adoption Application-Dog Adoption application-cat Adoption Process Step One - Deciding on a Type of Pet There are multiple factors to consider when bringing a new pet home. You'll have to take into account an animal's training needs, other family members' allergies, time per day to interact with your pet, the necessary space, the day-to-day care, health concerns, the average life span of a species, and more. Take care thinking about these things and research for more information. Step Two - Finding a New Pet Check out our current pets for adoption under 'Available Pets'. If you don't see your perfect pet listed for adoption, contact us for more information on animals whose listings may not have gone up online yet. Step Three - Complete an Adoption Application When you have found your perfect pet(s), fill out the online application (links above) When you submit an application, you will be contacted as soon as possible about the next step. We do allow same-day adoptions as long as you are prepared with everything you need to safely bring your new pet(s) home. Step Four - The Adoption Visit After your application is approved, we will contact you to set up an appointment to bring the pet to your home. Home visits are required. If you meet your new pet(s) and decide they are the right fit for you, you sign an Adoption Contract and pay the species-specific Adoption fee. All Pets are Healthy and come current on vaccines, spayed/neutered, cleaned up, micro-chipped, and heart worm tested.
