Jean

Jean came to us in a neglect case with 3 other dogs and 10 puppies. This sweet girl lived in a poopy, wet, disgusting basement, and we assumed she lived there her whole life. The only time she was ever outside was when she was being bred for profit.<br/><br/>Jean is about 8 years old, and needs some serious work in the training department. She is such a sweet girl, but you can clearly tell she has no idea how to handle love or affection. She is very happy and her tail is always wiggling, but she isn't used to 1-on-1 love from humans. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body, and will be a perfect "project" for a dedicated adopter. We think Jean is a corso mix, and has such a small size due to a life time of neglect. We are hoping to find a home experienced with the breed and determined to teach Jean everything she needs to know about being a dog. She doesn't seem to mind other dogs at the shelter, but would require a meet and greet with any dogs in the home. She is untested with cats, and can be upon request of an approved applicant. <br/><br/>Jean is long overdue for her perfect home, and she is anxiously waiting to meet her family!
