Jazz's Story

Jazz looks to be a female pit/Catahoula mix.<br/>Jazz was underweight when she came to us, but she is looking good now! Dominant female that will defend her bed/food/treats, but is super good with people! <br/>Pic to come, will post Heart Worm testing results asap. <br/>Jazz is approximately 2 years old and did test positive for Heart Worms. She is a very happy dog with people but has a very high "prey drive" for cats. Beautiful girl deserves a better life!

City of Edna Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

We will discuss with you how the animal you are interested in may or may not fit into your family. There is an adoption form and you will need to make sure you have a current and valid drivers license. Once the application has been approved, you will be directed to Edna City Hall to pay the $20 adoption fee while we microchip your pet. We are required to make certain the dogs have all their shots prior to leaving us, so we will transport the dog to the local vet where you will pay the $34 for all the shots.

The City of Edna Animal Shelter has many adoptable dogs. We work very closely with the local rescue organizations, but we also adopt animals straight out of our pound.
