Hi, I’m Jayden! I’m a 2.5 year old brown and white boy with a big heart, a goofy personality, and a love for life that’s downright contagious. Nobody’s quite sure what mix of breeds I am—my litter has eye dots and white tipped tails like herding dogs, maybe Australian Shepherd? But honestly, you’d never guess from my energy level because I’m more of a laid back lounger than a high octane pup. I am 10% zoomies, leisurely walks, playing in the backyard, and 90% laaaaa-zyyyyy furball. I even fell asleep standing once because I was too lazy to hop the rest of the way back up onto the couch! When it comes to play, I love zoomies, chasing balls, and tugging on rope toys, but after a burst of fun I’m happiest sprawling out on the couch or cooling off by the air vent. At heart, I’m a cuddlebug who lives for belly rubs, lap time, and treats—my true love language.<br/><br/>I grew up outdoors in a kennel, but I’m learning how wonderful indoor life can be. I’m super potty trained, well behaved, and I listen well if corrected. I do enjoy chewing on things sometimes, but I’m learning what is dog stuff or off-limits. I do like to have my own stuffies or chew bones to keep me from getting into other things. I also love my crate and will take several naps in it or on the couch throughout the day.<br/><br/>I’m fantastic with kids and I love being playful and silly. I am great with other dogs. However, after a bad interaction with another dog, I can be fearful and defensive around other dogs. I am working hard with a trainer to rebuild my trust with other dogs. I will need slow introductions to new dogs or to be the only dog in my forever home. I am not good all around cats as I think they’re snacks. <br/><br/>I’ve got some quirks that make me extra lovable. Bath time is one of my favorite things—I’ll drink from the hose while you scrub me, and I absolutely adore being towel dried. Thunderstorms make me nervous, but I get through with hugs and support. If you put me in my crate with a chew bone, and play music, I’ll settle in just fine and ignore the booming thunder. I don’t become destructive—I just need reassurance and a cozy space.<br/><br/>I weigh 50 pounds, I’m neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm negative, so I’m all set to be your new best friend. I’m currently in Franklin, TN, but I can be transported out of state for the right home. My foster family will be traveling to North Carolina in January and can transport me if there is a loving home along the way. If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate, treat loving goofball who will fill your days with laughter, cuddles, and unconditional love—I’m your guy.
