Jay's Story
Meet Jay!

Jay is ready to be your best friend. He is estimated to be between 8-10 years old which seems old for a malamute but you would not know it when you meet this guy. He is 128lbs of glorious love and fluff- yes, yes he's on a diet.

He has been a fan of every big dog he has met so if you have a resident that needs a buddy this is your boy. He also adores car rides as long as you give him a boost up and keep the window down for optimal sniffs. Those old hips feel every bit of that 128lbs so a ramp or some stairs into the car would be his best friend.

While Jay does not have trouble with stairs it would be preferred since he is an older gentleman that his forever home does not have a ton of stairs to come and go. One of Jay's favorite hobbies is sitting outside with a chewy bone and enjoying the cooler weather. He could sit out there for hours if you would let him.

Someone that enjoys being at home more often than not would be ideal for him as well. He is a social butterfly and has never heard of the word "stranger'. In fact, if he does not know you that means he might be able to con you out of a treat if you have something tasty!

While we have not had him around children we think he would do just fine with kids over 12+ only due to his hips being painful.

So, a couple of things to remember about Jay:
• Social butterfly
• Bigger dogs over 40lbs are the bees knees- pip squeaks and kitties should move along- they will hate Jay
• Car rides are pretty cool
• Treats are a necessity not a 'special occasion' thing- all days are a special occasion to Jay
• Must have stuffed squeaky toys for Jay to De-stuff
• Fewer to no stairs in the home
• Fenced yard preferred but not required
• In NC- can travel anywhere that BFDR does

----------------------------------------------------------------------

If you are interested in adopting this dog, please apply online, at https://bigfluffydogs.com/dog-adoption/ then email katrina@bigfluffydogs.com.
Our main website, www.bigfluffydogs.com has more information about us and the rescue process.

NOTE TO EMAILERS FROM PETFINDER: WE DO NOT RESPOND TO EMAIL INQUIRIES WITHOUT AN APPLICATION.
