Jaxx

Jaxx is an approximately 4-year-old energetic and playful boy looking for a family who will give him the patience, consistency, and love he deserves! Jaxx came to us as a surrender after his owner could no longer care for him. We've been getting to know this fun-loving guy, and there is a lot to love about him! ENERGETIC & PLAYFUL: Jaxx loves to run, play with his toys, and spend time with our volunteers and kennel staff. He would love an active family who can keep him busy! A FENCED YARD WOULD BE IDEAL: Jaxx loves to run and can be a bit of an escape artist, especially when doors are open. A securely fenced yard would be a wonderful benefit for him. WALKS LIKE A CHAMP: Jaxx does very well on a leash and absolutely enjoys getting out for walks and exploring. KID FRIENDLY: Jaxx has lived with children of all ages and has done well with them. GREAT WITH WOMEN: So far, Jaxx has had no problems at all with women and is comfortable spending time with them. MEN: Jaxx is uncomfortable around men at first. He will need slow introductions, patience, and time to build trust. With a proper introduction and a relationship built on trust, he could do well with a man he knows. SELECTIVE WITH DOGS: Jaxx has lived and spent time with other dogs in the past, but he is selective about his canine friends. He would likely do best with a female dog and would need a proper introduction. A LITTLE EXTRA PATIENCE: Jaxx was neutered later in life, and because of this, he does require a belly band when entering new indoor environments until he has had time to develop a consistent potty routine. His future family will need to be patient and willing to help him learn the expectations of his new home. Jaxx may need a little extra understanding, but he has so much to offer! Once he gets comfortable, he's a fun, energetic guy who loves his people, enjoys playtime, toys, and walks, and would love nothing more than a family of his own. He's looking for someone who will see past his quirks, give him a chance, and help him succeed. Could that be you?
