Jaxon's Story
Jax is an 11-month-old shepherd/husky/cattle dog mix weighing about 50 pounds and looking for a home that can give him the stability and routine where he truly thrives. He does great with dogs of all sizes and ages and would love a home with another canine friend (or two) to play with. Jax does well with kids 10+ who understand how to respect his space. He already knows sit, shake, and down, showing just how smart and eager to learn he is. Jax isn’t a fan of being picked up, and while he can ride in the car when needed, it tends to make him nervous and a bit carsick—so he’s probably not your road-trip buddy.

Jax is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. He loves to run around the yard getting his zoomies out, play with his favorite chew toys, and romp with his dog friends. He also enjoys going on walks and exploring. Sometimes new people or unfamiliar things can make him a little unsure at first, but with some calm verbal encouragement he relaxes and gains confidence quickly.

After he’s burned off his energy, Jax is all about the snuggles. He’ll happily curl up next to you and sleep beside you in bed all night long. He thrives in a calm home with structure and predictable days, where he can play outside with his dog friends during the day and relax with his people in the evening. In the right environment, Jax is an incredibly loyal, loving companion who just wants a safe place to call home. 🐾
