JAX's Story

Meet Jax – The Comeback Kid!

At just 1 year old, Jax has already shown more resilience than most. This handsome bully-boxer mix came into the shelter with a broken jaw and was severely underweight. Thanks to some amazing care, his jaw has healed, but it left him with a unique, adorable look—his skin hangs just a little, giving him a one-of-a-kind charm.

Jax spent four long months in the shelter, missing out on the playful puppyhood he deserved. With minimal playtime, the stress started to get to him, so he was pulled into boarding, where he now gets regular enrichment—and he’s thriving! He’s about 55 pounds of love, learning how to enjoy life outside a kennel.

Jax is great with other dogs and adores people! He hasn’t been tested with cats yet, but that can be arranged. He’s shown no toy or food aggression, and while he used to jump up with excitement, he’s learning his manners and is much calmer now.

Jax is fully vetted, heartworm negative, and ready for his forever home. No Greater Love's Adoption Policy
Our rescue group is proudly based in Alabama, where we care for our animals until they find their forever homes. Once adopted, we arrange transportation to their new families! Unless otherwise noted in their profile, all animals are located in Alabama. "Out of Town Pet" means they can be transported to the specific state, not that they are currently in that state. Please note: At this time, we are unable to process applications with a Massachusetts address due to state regulations regarding out-of-state animals. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Our transport fee is $200 for dogs and $75 for cats.
