Jax black 0125

If you have a soft spot for the seniors in a kennel please consider this cutie.

Meet Jax! This gentle, low maintenance, easygoing guy is ready to be your instant best friend. He has been fostered in our home for a couple weeks now and settled in right away. He enjoys 1 or 2 short walks per day and loves being around his person (s). He is also ok with alone time and is content to lounge and nap in his bed throughout the day. He's a quiet boy, doesn't bark much. He tends to sleep like a rock through the night.
He does well with other dogs but given his length of time in a shelter environment would ideally be slowly introduced. He has also tested well with cats at the facility but can react to loose cats in the neighborhood.
He is a very gentle guy towards people and children. He loved to come up and put his head in your lap or sit next to you and lean against you.
He walks well on a leash and knows commands such as sit and lie down. As an added bonus, he has a very short coat and hardly sheds at all. He enjoys water as long as it is shallow and he can touch the bottom. He doesn't mind baths or being sprayed off with a hose.

I have not found him to be destructive in anyway in my household. Not a picky eater, he eats his kibble with no issues. Food motivated.
He's great in a car and jumps right in when it's time to go. He is comfortable in a kennel. At our house, he sleeps out in the open in his bed, but I do kennel him for a car rides, and he goes right in very easily.

He would make a great companion for anyone, especially if you are looking for a calm, low-key easy-going dog.

Jax is a weimer mix
He is 8 years old.

Sonora ca
(209)533-3622
