Meet Big, Beautiful Jax!<br/><br/>This handsome 3 - 4 year old boy weighs about 70 lbs and has a beautiful saddleback coat.<br/><br/>Jax came to NorSled from a crowded Central Valley shelter, just in time. He was scheduled to be euthanized simply due to lack of space.<br/><br/>When he arrived, we discovered he had an old ankle injury. We don’t know how it happened, but it was long past the point of repair. As time went on, it became clear the injury was worsening and causing him pain. The kindest, most compassionate choice was amputation.<br/><br/>Jax is now absolutely thriving as a tripod.<br/>He’s the same lovable, easy-going, happy boy he’s always been, just now pain-free and living his best life.<br/>He adores people. He loves other dogs. Truly, he hasn’t met a human or pup he doesn’t like!<br/><br/>Jax is potty trained, crate trained, and enjoys short walks and soaking up the outdoors. We normally require home inspections prior to placing a dog, so with current restrictions and social distancing, we are using photos of your home and yard. We do not adopt to families with small animals and kids under 8 years old.
