Jax's Story

Meet sweet little Jax! Jax is a young, confident puppy with lots of energy and a big personality! He is about 6 months old and weighs 50 pounds. He is nearly house trained; just an occasional accident if he forgets to tell his people he needs to go outside. Jax is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night.

Jax is great with people, kids and other dogs but he likes to chase cats. He is constantly on the move and loves staying busy, whether hes exploring, playing with toys, or enjoying a game of fetch.

Jax can take a little while to settle down but giving him a toy to focus on helps him relax and keep himself occupied. Jax is also very smart and already knows how to sit. He has learned to sit patiently before exiting his kennel, showing that he is eager to learn and responds well to structure. He is still learning that toys and food wont be taken away from him as he gets used to being a puppy for the first time in his short life.

Jax found his little voice and likes to express his impatience when hes waiting for his dinner! Patience and structure will go a long way teach Jax to wait patiently. He has typical puppy behaviors like chewing and counter surfing, but he is so smart and so sweet, he is easily redirected and learns very quickly!

With his playful, confident nature and love for activity, Jax will be a fun companion for a family ready to keep up with an energetic young pup.

Jax will be available for adoption in RI on, or after, August 28, 2026

If you are interested in Jax and are an approved adopter, please contact your Adoption Coordinator to be added to Jaxs list. If you are a not yet approved, you can find our adoption guidelines and application at: www.savealabrescue.org
