Jax's Story

Howdy folks! My name is Jax, and I am a handsome and friendly black Cattle Dog/Pitbull mix, about 1 year old, 45 lbs. One day, while I was strolling through a San Antonio neighborhood, all alone, without any identification, I decided to camp out on the front porch of a nice-looking home. I can't deny that I was hoping the residents would bring out a bowl of water and dog food, but instead, they invited me in and let me stay the weekend. Woohoo! Jackpot! These days, I am staying in a foster home, now neutered, vaccinated, safe, healthy, loved, and well cared for, and ready for the final leg of my adventure, and that’s where you come in… Yep, I’m ready to be someone’s forever dog!

I am a sweet, happy, friendly dude with lots of energy and stamina for any adventure or just some playtime romping with my doggy pals. My favorite backyard game is tug-of-war with some big sticks I found in the yard. Besides being fun to play with, I also enjoy curling up at your feet just to keep you company. My foster mom wants to tell you how sweet and loving I am, yet not slobbery at all! I LOVE going for walks and rides in the car. I potty outside, and I rarely bark. I am eager to please and can easily adjust to new surroundings and a new routine. I'm just a really nice boy with a great attitude and a fun/happy personality. I know my future looks bright, and I am so looking forward to joining a wonderful family anywhere on the East Coast!
