Jax's Story
JAX is still searching for a family!
See some of his before and after pictures to see how much progress he has made! He was transported to South Dakota back in March, and he has been ready for his home for 3 weeks now! This boy was completely shut down and afraid of the world when I got him, but thanks to his fosters he is learning to trust and he has been coming out of his shell more and more everyday.
Rapid city & surrounding areas PLEASE share
-about 1 year old
-kennel trained
-needs to be with another dog (gets along with males and females)
-unsure about cats but wouldn’t have any concerns, can cat test if needed
-neutered, UTD on shots, microchipped, HW neg
-adoption contract + home check required
-no, we don’t know what breed he is

Here is a little more about his personality, from his fosters:Jax is a sweet boy who has slowly come out of his shell and allowed us to see his fun and goofy personality. Jax would do best in a home with another dog. He is still spooked easily so a calm, slow moving household would be ideal. Jax’s future parents need to be able to provide a routine and social outings for Jax as he tends to thrive when he is around other dogs. Jax knows his name but is still very timid when called. He is mostly potty trained as he still has accidents when he is scared. He tolerates short walks on a leash and with some work we think he would enjoy long walks or hikes. Jax is kennel trained and dark places and his kennel are places of comfort for him. We have noticed he tends to explore more and interact with us and our dogs if his kennel is shut. In the last week we have seen him initiate play with our dogs and has even jumped into bed with us! He loves hard bones to chew on once he figured out what they were for. His future parents will need to be patient as he makes his transition to his forever home.
