You'll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter.<br/>(Dogs in foster care are not available for in-person visits.)<br/><br/>#2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD** <br/>If you're ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you'd like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours. <br/><br/>**Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events. <br/><br/>--------------------------------------------<br/>All adult dog adoption fees include;<br/>-spay/neuter<br/>-rabies and kennel cough vaccinations<br/>- heartworm test<br/>-current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian)<br/>-microchip implanted & registered to adopter<br/>-treatment of fleas & ticks<br/>-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin<br/>-free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians<br/>Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
