Email it to info@hwhanimalrescue.com This super senior is Jax! He is approx 12 years old, 13 lbs and looking for love! Jax is extremely social, outgoing and friendly with every single person and pet he meets. He adores kids and other dogs. When he’s not napping in the sun, he’s snuggly, playful and happy. Jax loves walks and car rides and meeting new friends. Jax does have spinal stenosis which is a narrowing of the spine causing a bit of shaking and weakness in his back legs and an inability to do more than a few stairs. He can miraculously jump up on the couch though, no problem. ;-) He has no restrictions, it is more self limiting than anything and he is not on any meds.Jax does need to wear a belly band when left home alone for long periods of time since he does tend to pee a lot as any senior male does. He just can’t hold it more than a few hours anymore. If you want to give this senior a chance to live out his golden years in a loving home, please apply today!

Half-Way Home Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

All potential adoptive parents must fill out an adoption application, have a home inspection (dogs only) and a vet reference. We take great pride in finding good homes for our stray and abandoned companion pet friends. All pet adoptions include, up-to-date shots, heartworm checked (dogs), FELV/FIV checked (cats), dewormed, vaccinations for age at time of adoption, have monthly flea/tick prevention and heartworm prevention (dogs) and microchip (inserted or provided) Half Way Home Animal Rescue DOES NOT have a shelter; all animals are awaiting their forever homes in loving foster care. By having pets in foster care, we are able to get a jump start on training, learn their unique personalities and ensure they are a perfect match for you! Once you have submitted your application to us via email. If approved, we will arrange for a private meeting between you and the pet. When meeting a pet we also offer you the opportunity to ask fosters and volunteers questions in order to get to know the pet and be sure this will be a great fit for everyone.
