Jax's Story
Jax came to us as an owner surrender after being bounced around from home to home, state to state. Through that experience he has packed on a few extra pounds. 30 to be exact. But he's working it off! Although he prefers to be a lazy boy he has shown an interest in hurdles and will go for a nice stroll once he approves of you. True to his cattle dog nature he can be suspicious of newcomers and bonds strongly to those that stick it out and invest some sweet quiet time with him. He is on a strict diet and will need to adhere to that over the next year to lose the extra weight. But a few timely high value treats go along way with little Jax.

Jax has had a lot of change in his life so understandably, and true to his breed, he takes some time to warm up to new people. Once he does, he likes to be nearby, quietly following behind. He loves his barn time with his favorite volunteers and easy-going doggie friends as well as his play time with them outside. Jax would love to be in a home with someone he can really bond with, maybe be farm dog or a truck dog with a contractor, etc. Or even just a quiet home where he can relax and be appreciated for the huge heart he has for the folks he loves.
