Jasper's Story

Welcome sweet Jasper to rescue. Jasper came into rescue with his mate Alli as they were a breeding pair. Alli has now been adopted. Jasper has acclimated well into her foster home he shares with multiple dogs and does well with all of them altho would do best with another female versus a male or a submissive male. He appears housebroken, hates the crate but loves sleeping with the other resident dogs on the foster's bed. Jasper also seems to love children, altho the kids they see daily, are a bit older. Jasper has now been neutered and is said to be 5 yrs old. Jasper does not like cats and is very reactive to the feral cats that are being fed on the property, there are no inside cats to test him with. Jasper is an extremely loving boy and adores spending time with his people.<br/>All dogs are brought current on their vaccinations up to the point of adoption. Parasite protection is also done with dewormings, flea/tick prevention application, and heartworm prevention. If old enough a heartworm test is done. The spay/neuter and microchip are included in the adoption fee. All our dogs go to their new homes with their collar/leash, dog bed, favorite toy(s), bowls, and some food to acclimate them. Cause For Paws's Adoption Policy

In order to encourage folks to rescue homeless Orphans, we try to make the rescue experience as non-invasive and pleasant as possible. First, an application is completed prior to meeting any of our orphans. Since we do not have a shelter, it’s important to be able to pre-qualify folks that will be making appointments with fosters, to meet any of our orphans. We do a vet check, to verify all current or previous dogs are up to date on vaccines, heartworm testing, heartworm prevention, and are either spayed or neutered. We may also contact references listed on the application when there is no previous vet information, or where more information is needed. We’ll then contact you to arrange a home visit, which is merely an opportunity to ask and answer any questions regarding our process. Since most of our orphans have already been in a situation that was not right for them, we want to do whatever it takes to allow them to succeed. It is not our intent to set a dog or a family up for failure.
