Jasmine's Story

Pretty little Jasmine here is a sweet but shy shih zhu. She came in with a couple of other siblings but is especially bonded to her brother, Boy-boy (aka "Bobbi"). They were surrendered when their owners health hindered them from being able to properly care for all of them.

These two are bonded and should go home together. They lack cat experience and likely would want to be the only dogs, since they seem a bit to nervous of other dogs they have seen here that aren't from their family. This means they may be able to live with a dog-savvy cat if introduced very slowly. They are nervous around new people, so they would both prefer to not live with small children. They both love treats which helps reinforce that people = good. Jasmine is a touch more nervous, especially around hands reaching over her head. However, as seen in the photos, she loves a good chin scratch once she trusts you.

They did have to be shaved down from some matting here, so they are currently wearing sweaters. They will need continued regularly grooming throughout their life, so that is something to keep in mind!

If these two cuties would be a good fit for your home, give us a call at (603) 472-3647 and press 1 for adoptions. Please leave a voicemail if we do not answer, we respond in the order that we receive them.

Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire's Adoption Policy
All adoptions are done on an appointment only basis, for specific animals. No animals have multiple families visiting them at one time, this wouldn't be fair to them or for you. Because of this, we do not book out appointment more than 24-48 hours in advance. We are CLOSED for browsing at this time to keep the stress level of the animals in our care as low as possible. Thank you for your understanding! We DONT have online applications, we prefer to have a open line of communication with our potential adopters. Our process is more educational based. Our adoption counselors will be able to tell you if the animal you're interested in will be able to go home the same day. Visit rescueleague.org to view our adoptable pets and call 603-472-3647 to schedule an appointment!
