Hi, I'm Jasmine! I'm a 13-year-old, 15-pound Chihuahua with a soft brown coat, a snuggly side, and a whole lot of love for the people I trust.<br/><br/>My life changed when my owner went through a divorce and could no longer keep me. Now I need a new person who is kind and patient. This would mean the world to me. I should mention that my preference is to be an only pet. I love having my person all to myself!! <br/><br/>I still have plenty of energy to enjoy life! I manage stairs on my own and love a daily walk of a mile or more. I do well on a leash and get along with other dogs I meet. Honestly, some of my favorite activities require very little athletic ability: cuddling and belly rubs! At home, I'm used to having free run of the house, and at night you'll find me either sleeping in bed with my person or tucked into my own dog bed.<br/><br/>My foster has been taking me on regular outings and I am learning to meet and feel comfortable around new people. Once you get to know me, you'll discover that I'm incredibly loving, loyal, protective, and snuggly.<br/><br/>What I really need is someone who understands that trust doesn't always happen overnight. Treat me with kindness, patience, and respect, and give me time to settle in.
