Jareth's Story

Meet Jareth. Jareth was one of over 50 chihuahuas rescued from a hoarding case. He came to North Paw filthy, skinny and terrified. This sweet boy has come so far, but he still needs a patient household to help him continue to learn to be the best dog he can be.

Jareth LOVES cuddling once he trusts you. He's a goofy boy that will bend over backwards for belly rubs. His preference is to be able to see his humans, though he hasn't quite figured out that he can follow you to the next room. Stairs are an especially foreign concept to Jareth, and not on his list of things to learn just yet. He would really just like to hang out on the couch with you, to be honest.

He currently stays in a doggy pen while unsupervised and at night, and would most likely transition to a crate with minimal issues. He lives with several other dogs and does great with them. He also lives in a home with an adult male and female and has bonded with both.

Potty training is progressing slowly, but surely. Jareth has no clue how to alert that he needs to go out, but does better when his humans keep him on a regular schedule. He is learning what it feels like to walk around on a leash, and has successfully walked around the fenced-in yard. However, it’s unlikely Jareth will be a dog that likes to go for walks, as there are too many unfamiliar noises and movements for him in this big scary world.

Are you willing to give this sweet boy the opportunity to grow? Your patience will be rewarded with goofy antics, cuddles, and kisses.

Jareth's adoption fee is $500! This adoption fee includes: his alter, a microchip, his rabies, bordetella, and age appropriate DAPP vaccines, flea/heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment while in foster care.

If you think he may be perfect for you, please apply using the link below!

https://www.cognitoforms.com/NorthPawRescue/NorthPawRescueDogAdoptionApplication

**Unfortunately, we cannot adopt out to Canada at this time.

**We require a 60 minute adoption radius.
