January is the sweetest 2-year hound mix who was rescued from living tied up to a barrel for most of her life. This girl came to us just terrified but she's made so much progress. We are so proud of her.

January was one of 60 hounds that were taken from a hoarding situation. Due to her rough upbringing January was understandably very shy. She won't walk on a leash, was scared to come up to her caretakers but now she's doing both of these things. Her sweet, gentle personality is blossoming.

This pretty girl is still shy with strangers but all she needs is a little TLC and patience. When she first meets you, she will not run up to say hi, but do not let that put you off. She has a heart of gold. It will just take lots of TLC and time for January to find her puck.

January's foster "mom" can't say enough good things about this sweet sweet girl. Happily since her rescue, January has really starting to come out of her shell. She's living with a confident dog and that is really helping her to find courage.

The best home for this lovely hound is with another dog, a fenced yard and folks who are patient and willing to help January along her journey. We know that there's a bold adventurer inside waiting to come out.

January loves belly rubs and gentle pets. She's getting more and more used to the human touch. She is on her way to becoming a prize snuggler.

The adoption fee for this dog is $375. This fee includes spay/neuter and microchip. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered.
