Jango's Story

Jango was surrendered to the shelter through no fault of his own-his dog sibling did not want to have a brother, so Jango is looking for a new home.

In his former home he was primarily an outdoor dog, Jango has found the shelter to be a calming space to transition to his next place in life. He has adjusted well to indoor-life, the regular walking, meeting new people, plenty of cuddles and treats, and keeps his kennel tidy.

He loves walking on the trails and joyfully wriggles into his favorite kennel staffs' laps for full-body scratches and rubs.

He's hoping to find a buddy who will share their favorite hobbies with him. He enjoys being with his person, learning about new things, and getting fresh air. With a little thought and training, this smart boy would be thrilled to "help" you around the house or yard.

Keeping his mind and body active is important-a few vigorous games of fetch where he practices "giving space", "wait", and checking in with his playmate before running off to catch and deliver the ball and a trail walk or light jog are great ways to keep him happy and healthy.

We are still learning more about him everyday as he gets more confident and comfortable in his new surroundings.
