Janet's Story

Hi, I am an 19-lb., long-legged, very sweet, girl! My friend, Jackie, and I came out of a hoarding situation in Oklahoma where we were not socialized and were very traumatized. I have been in my foster home for awhile. I have been making slow, but steady progress because my foster family has worked so hard to help me learn that I am safe, loved, wanted, cuddles and pets feel good, leash walks are fun, and even strangers and new noises are not terrifying. I am doing a great job of learning to be a dog and I help Jackie be brave, too. I love to explore and sniff the backyard, play with Jackie, and my foster brothers and toys are the bestest! Jackie and I are hoping, hoping that there might be a special family to adopt both of us together. We're also hoping there will be another confident sibling, because we LOVE being part of a pack. A quiet home where the people and sibling(s) are around a lot would be wonderful! Finally, as I become comfortable in my new environment, I will be SO excited to show you how much I enjoy being a dog!
