Janelle's Story

Hi! My name is Janelle and I am looking for a forever home. I was surrendered to a shelter along with my two puppies and it didn't take long for them to be adopted but unfortunately not me. See, I am on the shyer side and I was pretty scared finding myself alone in the shelter so I just wasn't showing my best side, and then I heard that I was in line to be placed on something bad called 'the list". BCAA was told about my predicament and they immediately said they would help me and my world changed again; however, this time I am learning for the better. My foster parents have been really nice and given me time to show my true self which they say is super sweet. I also get good food regularly and lots of yummy treats which has helped. Everyone says I'm probably some type of red heeler mix, but whatever I am my foster mom says I'm really pretty girl and that I have the softest eyes. The vet thinks I'm about 2 years old so I'm past all of that puppy foolishness, and I only weigh a little over 33lbs so I'm a really good size. I have gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and I haven't paid much attention at all to the cats I've encountered. I've done really well in my crate without any accidents, barking or tearing up of my bedding and I treat it as my safe place and will go in on my own. I'm still learning about a leash but do much better on it once I know I can trust you so a fenced yard would be great for me to take care of my business and do a little bit of exploring. If you would like to learn more about me or meet me, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.
