I’m calm, curious, and quietly charming—building my own peaceful little “research station” wherever there are snacks, pets, and a warm lap nearby. I get along beautifully with people, dogs, and even cats, always choosing diplomacy over drama. If you’re looking for a gentle companion with excellent observation skills and a PhD in relaxation, I’m ready to begin our lifelong field study together.

HISTORY: Found as a stray in Selma, Alabama

ENERGY LEVEL: Low

EXPERIENCE WITH:
Kids: Encountered/good with
Dogs: Lived with/good with
Cats: Lived with/good with

FOSTER FEEDBACK:
“Jane loves new people, she is the belle of the ball anywhere she goes!”

MEDICAL:
We do our best to ensure the dogs in our care are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered (when old enough), microchipped, and given a general health check. Immediate medical needs and medical history will be addressed with the adopter prior to adoption. Complete vet records will be sent shortly after adoption.

FOSTER TO ADOPT: This dog is eligible for our limited foster-to-adopt program, which gives approved adopters the chance to welcome a dog into their home and get to know them before finalizing an adoption. The foster-to-adopt period typically lasts 2–4 weeks and follows our standard foster guidelines. Interested adopters should submit an adoption application noting their interest in the program and the specific dog—they can connect with the adoptions team for more details.
