Jake's Story

Say hello to Jake! Young Jake was picked up as a stray along with his sister earlier in the year and was adopted over the summer. He has now sadly returned to the shelter as his previous owner's housing situation changed and we're hoping his second stay isn't as long as his first! This beautiful brindle boy is hoping the second time will be the charm and he will be cherished and loved the way he deserves. Jake's signature characteristics are his speckled tongue and his kangaroo hops in the yard (quite endearing, if we do say so ourselves)! Come meet Jake and find a friend for life!

Adoptions fees are: $75 for dogs or cats, 7 months and older* $90 for puppies and kittens, 6 months and younger* *All litter mates may be adopted 2/1. Special higher pricing may apply for specialty dogs. ** You are not required to live in Galveston to be able to find your Best Friend at our shelter.
