Jake's Story

Jake is 2-3 years old, 48 lbs.

he was horribly mistreated before he ended up in the shelter. it took a while to get him to trust anyone so he still has trust issues. Once he trusts you, he is your friend forever. He shouldn't be subjected to kids at all. He doesn't like surprises. A quiet home with little traffic would be best for him. He was adopted but the owners were totally irresponsible so he is now looking for another home again. This time, it MUST be a good one.

Jake had a rough start to life, he was confiscated by animal control with a badly embedded collar and had been kept in a crate 24/7. His neck is fully healed but his heart is not. He is 2 years old, 50 pounds, and neutered.

From foster:

Jake is a loving goofball once you earn his trust. He wants to be by your side and is interested and curious about everything you do. He is full of tag wags and playing is what he lives for. Jake is working hard to trust people but needs to be in a home that will take time to work through his fears. He needs a home without children.

Loves to play with a ball - with you or by himself

Loves hide and seek – he always wins

Loves car rides

Food/treat motivated

Walks well on a leash

House trained
