Look no further – Jake is that and so much more. Bundle of sweetness with the cutest hint of “side-eye”. Jake came into rescue as an owner surrender due to a death in the family. His birthday is in March and he will turn 8 years old on the 14th. He had no issues with transitioning into our home with 2 existing dogs and 2 cats. He loves to play with my dogs and other dogs in the neighborhood. His initial interest with my cats is just that – interest. He sleeps with them while giving me the side-eye. Jake has traveled with me numerous times to CO and did extremely well in the car as well as hotels along the route. He is typical Brittany on-leash and has done really well off-leash. Jake lets you know when he needs to go outside – he comes to you and gives the stare. His previous owner mentioned Jake would ring some bells hanging on a door when he needed to go outside. Jake has been around the young and young at heart. He has the sixth sense of how to behave around each person. Haven’t seen him jumping on anyone. He gets very excited when he sees the leash & chest collar, knowing a walk is in his near future. Jake also gets excited at feeding time and takes treats oh so gently. <br/><br/>As you can tell from the photos Jake is a tri-colored Brittany. Most of his body is covered with the gorgeous liver with splashes of orange on the inside of his back legs. He also has orange “dots” on his eyebrows reminding me a bit like Groucho Marx. He came into rescue weighing 62 pounds and his current weight is 47 pounds. Jake is up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, taking preventative medication for heartworm as well as flea & ticks. He is a very healthy Brittany. <br/><br/>Jake’s adoptive home would need to have a fenced yard, with other dogs to play with. At my home, Jake is allowed on furniture and sleeps in the bed with us – he is a good bed buddy.
