Rocky is a handsome one-year-old mutt who weighs about 60 lbs. He may look like a Pitty but check out his DNA profile — his top two breeds are Lab and Saint Bernard! Rocky, like his namesake, has battled his way to the top and is now ready for a new beginning of his own.
We met Rocky after he was found tied to a door at a local church by a homeless person. The loving people at the church wanted to make sure Rocky got a second chance at a new beginning so they set off to set him up for success and reached out to our Gwinnett Jaildogs Program for help. Rocky has proven to be a wonderful addition to the progam and he is excelling in his training. He is still all puppy and has that wonderful puppy energy to share. Rocky's handlers state that he is eager to please, wants to learn new things and is house-trained. They also report that Rocky is a "velcro dog" who follows them everywhere and then wants to snuggle when they sit down. We know this guy has been down and out but now it is his turn to shine with a family of his very own. He is one of our best trained dogs by knowing all of his basic obedience commands and lots of wonderful tricks his handlers have taught him.
