Jaguar (Big Cat litter)'s Story
FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State - we are a local foster based rescue and no transport from another state required. :) Thanks!

---

Meet the Big Cats litter! They were found in the same junkyard as the Superhero litter - another amazing mommy who kept them safe until our rescue team could get them into foster care. Mommy honestly looks nothing like her puppies... so we were excited when DNA told us they were Chihuahua / Yorkie / Aussie and 11 other breeds! DNA is saying they should be between 10-15#. Mommy is about 20#.

They turn 9 weeks old on 3/12/26 and are only in the 4# range. Wee, and a bit low-rider. The entire litter is silly, active and social.

This puppy is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated to appropriate age when they go home. They will need more puppy shots at 12 weeks, and 16 weeks. Puppies are good with dogs, cats, kids and more. Being a puppy, they will need lots of training, including housebreaking. Remember, puppies are cute, but they have sharp teeth, need to be fed 3 times a day and poop... a lot!

The 3-3-3 rule is a guideline for transitioning a rescue dog into its new home and helping it to settle in. It suggests that the first three days should be used for adjusting to its new surroundings, the next three weeks for training and bonding, and the first three months for continued socialization and training.

Each dog goes home with a goody bag including collar/leash, toys, chews, Kong, and more. You will receive all medical records, microchip transfer form and other paperwork at the time of adoption.

Adoptions typically take place in the Stanwood area. We will be at an event on March 14th at Farmstrong Brewing in Mount Vernon and will have the available puppies there for meet and greets. We don't do same day adoptions without a pre-approved application.

Adoption fee is $575. Save-A-Mutt is a registered 501c3 and half of your adoption fee may be tax deductible.

Save-A-Mutt is a foster based rescue, we do not have a facility to visit. Our adoptions are typically done Monday - Saturday, we are closed on Sunday’s to give our volunteers at least one day off. You must be available to do meets and adoptions during that time frame. We can make exceptions only with the approval of the foster home.

Please note, we have approximately a 300 mile adoption radius - Portland OR area and Vancouver BC is the farthest north. We don’t ship dogs, once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up your puppy.
