Jager's Story

Get ready to meet your new best friend—Jager is here to steal your heart and make a splash in your life! At 3 years old, this handsome pup has already faced his fair share of challenges, but his resilient spirit shines brighter than ever.

After being the longest resident at the local shelter, Jager is now on the lookout for a forever home where he can thrive and flourish.

Though he can still be a little shy when meeting new people, he warms up quickly and thrives when he feels safe and connected. He’s happiest just being near his people — whether that’s helping with yard work, keeping an eye for the intruder squirrels, or cuddling on the couch. Jager is potty trained, great on a leash, and gets along well with other dogs with introduction. He can stay in the house confined in his room with the gates, we did not use crates.

Jay is a "ladies dog" he will go straight for the cuddles when he hears a beautiful female voice.

Jager *loves* people—he’ll lean into you for cuddles and affection. He does great with other dogs in the play yard and enjoys zooming around the outdoor area. A sweet, active, and social boy ready for a second chance!

Jager would do best in a home with children 15 years old and up and will require a fenced in yard.

Jager is available to adopt in the Chicagoland area and is being fostered in a home. Appointments to visit him will be set up for approved adopters only. Adoption fee is $300.00 which includes all appropriate vaccines, and he is neutered and microchipped.
