Jade’s story didn’t start the way a young dog’s should—but you’d never know it from the joyful, loving girl she is today. At just 15 months old, she has already overcome a lot. Jade spent her early life being passed from one family member to another without ever truly having a place to call her own. Worse yet, she has been living outside chained up on a rural property with only the.basics to survive. We knew we had to help her. Though she just joined the Serendipity pack, Jade has shown us exactly who she is at heart: a sweet, friendly, and incredibly resilient young lady who is ready to soak up all the love she’s been missing.<br/><br/>Jade is already proving to be a dream companion in all the right ways. She rides calmly in the car, walks nicely on a leash, and knows how to sit. Despite never having seen a veterinarian before she joined Serendipity, Jade handled her first exam like a champ, showing just how adaptable and brave she is. Most importantly, she’s eager to learn—she truly wants to please and will thrive with continued guidance and positive training.<br/><br/>Jade is wonderful with people and greets the world with a happy expression and a constantly wagging tail. We were told that she does well with dogs, cats, and is friendly with kids. We have not tested her, but given her easygoing nature, she could likely be a great fit for nearly any home.<br/><br/>Jade’s ears are one of her many charming features. They are a work of art—especially from behind and look “painted,” with warm tan coloring brushed onto a black canvas in a way that’s nearly perfectly symmetrical; it almost doesn’t look real. It’s one of those little details that make her completely one of a kind.<br/><br/>Jade is still very much a young German Shepherd, which means she has energy to burn and would love an active home where she can run, play, and be included in daily life. A fenced yard would be ideal—but it will need to be secure, as this athletic girl can clear a 4-foot fence.<br/><br/>Jade is ready to move on from her rough start in life, and all she’s asking for is consistency, love, and, most importantly, a family who will never let her feel forgotten again. In return, she’ll give you loyalty, affection, and a lifetime of companionship. Seniors are special to us, so we offer two options:<br/><br/>(1) If your heart has a special place for the seniors, you can adopt a senior dog for the regular adoption fee of $400 and this becomes a perpetual fee.
