I’m 9 years old, but apparently no one told me that means I’m supposed to slow down. I still have plenty of pep in my step and enjoy getting out and seeing what’s going on.<br/><br/>I KNOW: Sit, Paw, and how to catch a treat midair like a pro. I’m smart, food-motivated, and happy to show off what I know. One small disclaimer: when treats are involved, enthusiasm sometimes gets the better of my manners, so watch your fingers!<br/><br/>IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE: sweet, spunky, and past the puppy stage without being ready for retirement, I could be your girl. I can be reactive toward other dogs and prefer to choose my friends carefully. If you have a resident dog, we’ll want to meet first and make sure we get along.<br/><br/>I AM SPECIAL BECAUSE: you wouldn’t believe how far I’ve come. I arrived with very little hair, in part because of allergies, but with medication, regular baths, and lots of TLC, my beautiful coat has grown back and I’m feeling so much better. My new family will need to continue working with their veterinarian to keep my allergies under control and help me stay comfortable.<br/><br/>I’ve been waiting for more than five months, and I think I’ve put in enough time at the shelter. I may come with a few senior-dog quirks, but I also come with plenty of personality, loyalty, and love. At this point, I’m ready to trade shelter life for the good life.
