Jackson is an 8-year old, 15 pound adorable little purebred Poodle. Don’t let the age fool you: he can hang with my younger dogs (even a 7-month puppy) like he’s one of them. He’s the perfect mix of energy and chill. You want to take a walk? Jackson is ready to go! You want to spend the day on the couch? Jackson is right there ready to snuggle with you. Jackson has perfected the art of begging. He stands on his back legs and puts his hands together in a “prayer” position moving them up and down, up and down while you roll on the floor laughing.<br/><br/>Jackson loves walks! He would love to have a dog buddy to play with, but he would be okay as an only dog as long as his parents take him for 1 or 2 walks a day to let him exercise. He is fully kennel trained, but he loves to sleep in the bed with foster Dogmom and foster Dogdad. Jackson gets along with every dog and cat he meets. He loves all people but can be protective of foster Dogmom when he’s on walks, even with children. He barks loudly to give passersby a warning to not hurt foster Dogmom! Jackson would be fine around older children as they would understand his limits.<br/><br/>Jackson can be an escape artist, so a securely closed in fence is a must in his new house. Jackson likes as much outside time as inside time. He loves to explore the yard. He’ll trot outside with a toy in his mouth every time! He loves to jump on his toys but doesn’t understand the concept of fetch yet. <br/><br/>Jackson was ignored and never appreciated the first 8 years of his life but now it’s time to make up for all of that! He will be your best friend, loyal companion and sleeping buddy.<br/><br/>Jackson’s adoption fee is $250 and includes neuter, all shots & microchip. He is heartworm-negative and is on heartworm prevention.<br/><br/>Note:<br/>We always respond first to inquiries that tell us something about your living situation (house, apartment, single, family, etc.) and why you want this dog. Be sure to include your phone number in your inquiry. We call inquiries that seem to be a good fit for the dog.
