Jackson's Story

Meet Jackson, your new best friend!

Jackson is a 2-year-old, 52-pound yellow Lab mix who has decided that personal space is highly overrated. His favorite place to be is right next to his people—preferably leaning against you, getting pets, or giving you one of his signature hugs.

He’s sweet, affectionate, and has a fantastic temperament. When he’s not busy being your personal cuddle buddy, Jackson enjoys playing with tennis balls and hanging out with his four-legged friends. He does well with other dogs and cats and is great with kids, too.

Jackson came to us after being returned to rescue, and we’re determined to help him find the forever home he deserves. He’s a little underweight right now, so we’re working on getting some extra pounds on him. (He is accepting donations in the form of snacks!)

If you’re looking for a happy, loving guy who will make you feel very, very needed, Jackson is your guy. He’s got the hugs, the tennis balls, and absolutely no concept of personal space—and honestly, we’re pretty okay with that!

Visit STAF.org for more information on our adoption process. *** Email adoptadog@STAF.org for next steps! ***

All of our animals are spayed/neutered and current on shots.
We do not do same-day adoptions. You will be asked to return for at least one follow-up visit, then take the dog home for a trial period before officially adopting.
You must be 21 years or older to adopt from STAF.
Due in part to increasing coyote activity/incidents in the area and the difficulty of predicting how a dog will respond to invisible fence training, we can not adopt to homes with invisible fences.
We do request vet and personal references.
We can facilitate adoptions within a 30-mile radius of our Cincinnati-based shelter.
Adoption through STAF includes full vetting of the dogs, including a spay/neuter at 6 months (female)/9month (male) maximum.
