Jack's Story

Heartland generally serves Indiana, Kentucky and the Cincinnati areas. However we cannot cover every area. We do work with our sister and brother rescues in other areas as well. Please consider your local Sheltie rescue before applying outside your area.

We will NOT ship our available dogs. A home visit by a volunteer is required before an application can be approved. ********************************************************************************************
Jack is a high energy guy! He will need a family that can help him expend that energy so he is a good boy!
He walks well on leash and will potty on leash but you will need to wait him out as he's now gotten used to being free in the fenced yard at his foster home.

Jack gets along well with larger dog but might be a bit much for a small dog. He is also alpha and pushy when he thinks he can get away with it. Super smart dog! He'll find trouble if afforded the opportunity. His adopter will need to mind their garbage can, too! He's a sneaky guy! He's also just a tad oversize and had gotten a bit chubby during COVID like many of us.

Jack's estimated to have been born early in 2017.

Apply to adopt Jack at www.sheltierescue.org
Adoption fee $550
