Jack's Story

Meet Jack! He was born around October 10, 2024 and is a male Chihuahua mix. Jack has a big personality and is nicknamed Wiggle Butt by his foster family. When he gets excited his whole body wags. He is slow to warm up to new people, but once he knows you he is all love. He is not much of a cuddler, and prefers his own space. He would love a home with other dogs to play with, having a confident canine companion to show him the world is FUN! He is mostly potty trained. His foster family is working on getting him to go outside in the rain. He will use a potty pad in the house if outside is dark or wet (typical small dog). Jack's best fit home is one with adults or adults and children over 10. He's quite a climber for a small pup so a secure 6 foot fence is preferred. Apply for Jack at: www.mikeyschance.com

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please visit Mikeyschance.com to find out about our adoption procedures. We do not have a central facility where you can meet our dogs, because they are in foster homes. Once you have been approved to adopt a dog we will gladly arrange for you to meet any dogs that are potentially a good fit for your home. We carefully review each application and place dogs based on a variety of criteria. Ultimately, we will always act in the best interest of the dog. We will conduct a background check on each adult living in the home. We will contact your vet. Mikey’s Chance also conducts home-checks to assure the best possible placement of all our rescue animals. PLEASE NOTE: It is our policy to only adopt to homes where the current pets: Are up to date on vaccinations; Have been either spayed or neutered; and Have received routine veterinary care. Applications that do not meet this policy shall be denied.
