Jack's Story

Name: Jack
Breed: Border Collie
Sex: Neutered Male
Age: 2.5 years
Weight: 33 lbs
Animal Number: 4464

Loving, Friendy, Snuggly, Smart, Very Energetic

Good with dogs? Yes, Jack is very friendly and loves to play with other young or energetic dogs. He does well on leash, is curious about other dogs, and likes to give them a sniff as they walk past.

Good with cats? Not Tested in foster care, but reportedly he did well with cats in a prior home and was curious.

Good with kids? Not Tested, but he loves people and affection! He might bump into very small kids while sharing his loving full body hugs and cuddles.

Energy level: Very High! He absolutely loves walks and long runs and gets super happy and excited when it’s time to go out! He will chase an occasional toy but doesn’t really know how to play fetch. When he’s at home, he will walk around and keep you company, or curl up to nap.

Animal Characteristics: Jack is a loving, snuggly, smart boy who will thrive in an energetic home, enjoying lots of love, activity and exercise. He is adorably quirky and once he’s bonded with you, he does not want to leave your side. He’ll wake you up with hugs and kisses every day. He’s also very smart and loves to dig to hide his treats. He jumps when he’s excited, and his adopter can continue positive reinforcement training to help Jack learn more commands and calm his joyful jumping. If you sit down, he’ll hop up happily next to you and nudge his head under your arms if you stop petting him. He loves meeting new people and will beg for hugs! He is potty trained, is fine with car rides as long as he’s not left alone, and rarely barks, which is a huge bonus. Jack is an absolute sweetheart who will bring immense happiness to his forever home!

Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process.
