Jack's Story
Jack is super sweet approx 24lb 10yo neutered male schnauzer mix. He was found as a stray so not much history is known about him. He's done very well - out of the scary FL kill shelter and in the foster home of a very experienced loving foster mom. Unfortunately, due to personal health concerns, Jack is now being fostered by another equally very experienced foster in Goose Creek SC. But is was a last minute, emergency placement - and this SC foster has a very full house right now -lots of other dogs.

Jack is fully vetted, all shots & preventative, in good health, housebroken and leash-crate- trained. He does need drops for 'dry eye' in both eyes but otherwise has no special needs or diet.

Handling Jack is our main concern. He is not allowing being picked up at this time. And is very resistant to bei g physically handled ny a vet or groomer, at this time. He was prescribed tranquilizers by a vet that would help keep him calm -- and hopefully will make visits to a groomer, vet & home eye-care needed, allowable.

His current foster is very fond of Jack & he has shown improvement while in her care with handling.

So we really need a very understanding adopter - who may consider taking Jack into their home & allowing him at least 6 months to gain his trust & cooperation.

He's super social with same-size friendly dogs and was particularly friendly and protective of a sweet little female terrier who he became especially fond of.

We'd love to talk to you about Jack and hope you will consider adopting Jack and giving him a loving Furever home ASAP!

Please contact Joyce - GFstrays for more info and video of Jack.

We can arrange a video-chat with Jack's foster and arrange transport for the right person. His current foster is very fond of Jack & he has shown improvement while in her care with handling.
So we really need a very understanding adopter - who may consider taking Jack into their home & allowing him at least 6 months to gain his trust & cooperation.
He's super social with same-size friendly dogs and was particularly friendly and protective of a sweet little
