UPDATED 1/29/23 Hi! My name is Jack & I'm a super sweet 9-month old corgi/basset/pit mix. I really needed a place to go, so Nittany beagle Rescue made me an honorary beagle! Aren't I adorable! I'm a really friendly, goofy guy! And I love to give kisses! I'm really energetic too! I'm also quite strong. I'm housetrained for the most part, although I may mark or have an accident when I first go into my new home. I've lived with young children, but because of my strength & energy, I'll be placed in a home where the children are big enough that I won't knock them down. I had a pretty rough life before I came into Nittany Beagle Rescue. But it's getting better already! I was able to stay in a temporary foster home for 1 night. The only thing I chewed on was my big nylabone that my rescuer gave me. Of course, I'm at that adolescent chewing stage, so my new family will want to make sure I have appropriate things to chew on. I would love to sleep in bed with my person at night. I also ride well in a car, although sometimes I will try to get you to pet me or try to sit up front with you. In Jack's temporary foster home, he was interested in the pet chinchilla. But Jack backed down from the chinchilla. To be on the safe side, Nittany Beagle Rescue will not place him in a home with small animals, like cats, chinchillas, and guinea pigs - just to be on the safe side. Jack only weighs 42 lbs. He will be neutered before he is adopted. So far, Jack has been pretty quiet, & doesn't bark much. Is Jack right for you - or do you know a good home who would be perfect for Jack? If so, please think about making Jack part of the family!
