Jack's Story
Jack is a 11-year-old husky mix with a story that’s hard to forget. He came into one of the shelters we work with, and when they scanned his microchip, they learned the heartbreaking truth—Jack had been adopted from that very shelter as a puppy ten years ago… only to be abandoned by his “family” a decade later.

He arrived with his lifelong companion, Tina. She quickly found a foster home, and we knew we couldn’t leave Jack behind. So we brought him into our rescue.

At first, Jack was unsure and lacked confidence without his sister by his side. But it didn’t take long for his personality to shine. He quickly learned how to walk on a leash, rest comfortably in a crate, and show us just how much love he has to give. Jack is incredibly affectionate! He’ll press his whole body against you, and if he could crawl inside your skin for snuggles, he absolutely would.

Like any good husky mix, Jack is a talker. He’ll tell you all about his day and how he’s feeling, and we promise, his goofy little grumbles will make you smile. He’s an easy, gentle soul who enjoys going for walks, relaxing at home, and being close to his people.

Jack is fully potty, crate, and leash trained. He gets along well with other dogs - he may be a little quirky and vocal, but he loves to play. He’s not a fit for a home with cats, as he doesn’t quite understand they aren’t toys. He adores children and has always loved meeting them at adoption events. This once shy boy now leaps up with excitement when you grab his leash - ready to take on any adventure you throw his way! We joke that he has aged backwards.

When Jack arrived, he had hair loss along his back, which improved with medication. He has also gone through the slow-kill treatment method. He is up to date on vaccinations and prevention, and is neutered and microchipped.

Jack is a simple boy with a huge heart. All he wants now is a soft place to land, someone to snuggle, and a forever family who won’t ever let him go.

Meet and greets and adoption trials are available once your application is approved.
