Joe took that advice seriously. <br/><br/>He can be cautious when something or someone is new, and he was particularly confused about why anyone expected him to pose for pictures without his mom. But give Joe a little time to figure you out and the confused little face turns into a sweet, affectionate boy who wants to be your friend.<br/><br/>At 8 months old and only 21 lbs., Joe is a wonderfully manageable size and already a very well-rounded young dog. Hes smart, obedient, eager to please and walks nicely on leash.<br/><br/>He does great with dogs of all sizes and enjoys playing with them. Cats are okay too, he may be a little unsure at first, but he can coexist with them.<br/><br/>And despite his initial caution, Joe is absolutely a lover. Once he knows you're safe, you get the sweet boy his mom already knows is in there.<br/><br/>Breed? Obedient Terriernois. Obviously.<br/><br/>Joe doesn't need someone to rush him. He needs a person willing to give him a little time, some love and probably a few treats while he conducts his background check.<br/><br/>Pass the inspection and congratulations: you've got yourself a best friend.<br/><br/>Shelter staff informs: <br/>While we can't guarantee that this dog is 100% house trained, it is a very clean dog that spends days in a big outdoor run and nights in sleeping quarters. We also find no bedtime accidents in the morning. We do not know for certain how this dog would do living with children, as we do not know if it ever lived in a home environment with kids yet. However, this dog has not shown aggression toward any humans, of any age, at the shelter. As with any dog, we always recommend careful supervision and slow responsible introductions and interactions when children are involved.<br/><br/>Joe has been fully vetted. Neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date on heartworms & flea/ tick prevention.
