Meet Izzy!<br/><br/>If you're looking for a sweet, playful, people-loving girl with a whole lot of personality, allow us to introduce you to Miss Izzy!<br/><br/>Izzy originally came to us as a stray, and while we don't know much about her life before arriving at FMAR, we've certainly enjoyed getting to know the wonderful girl she is today!<br/><br/>Izzy is an incredibly friendly, affectionate, and social dog who absolutely LOVES spending time with people. Whether she's heading out for a walk, enjoying some one-on-one attention, or simply hanging out with her favorite humans, she's just happy to be included. She's got a fun, playful personality and plenty of love to share with whoever is lucky enough to call her family.<br/><br/>And if you're looking for a way to win this girl's heart? Treats are definitely a good place to start!<br/><br/>Izzy is wonderfully treat motivated and takes treats SO gently. She's already familiar with the command "sit" and is happy to show off her manners, especially when there's a tasty reward involved. She's a great candidate for continued positive reinforcement training, and we think she'd have a blast building a relationship with her future family through learning new things together.<br/><br/>What about other dogs?<br/><br/>During her time at the shelter, Izzy has shown us some promising behavior around other dogs. When passing calm dogs, she generally remains calm herself and doesn't seem particularly bothered by their presence. However, if another dog becomes reactive or overly excited, Izzy may eventually mirror that energy.<br/><br/>This doesn't necessarily mean she can't enjoy the company of other dogs! It simply means that thoughtful introductions, appropriate spacing, and continued guidance will be important. We think she may even be a great candidate for group walks with other dogs, and we're excited to continue learning more about her social preferences.<br/><br/>More than anything, Izzy seems like the kind of dog who just wants to be part of the action. She's sweet, playful, affectionate, and has so much potential to become a wonderful companion for someone willing to give her the love, attention, and continued guidance she deserves.<br/><br/>Izzy may have arrived at FMAR without a family to call her own, but we're hoping her next chapter is filled with everything a girl like her could ask for: adventures, companionship, plenty of treats, and humans who love her just as much as she'll love them.<br/><br/>If you're ready for a fun-loving sweetheart with a big heart and an even bigger personality, come meet Miss Izzy!<br/>------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br/>If you would like to meet Izzy, please submit an application for her on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. She is spayed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $250, which covers part of the medical care she will receive.<br/><br/>**Please note that the breed listed for each of our dogs is a rough estimate unless DNA results are provided in their Bio. All strays have rough estimates of their age based on the condition of their teeth.<br/>Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. Our adoption process might require multiple visits to the shelter before our dogs can go home. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It really depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. Once we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.
