Izzy's Story

Meet Izzy. We think with her short legs and long body, she may be a Dachshund mix (but it's always just a guess!). Izzy is super sweet and loves to snuggle with her humans. However, she can be a little nervous with new people so she may require a little warm up period (especially with men).

Izzy lives with two dogs, one large young dog and one smaller senior. She does well with both of them and would love an active friend to run and play with, but it's not a requirement. Izzy also lives with a cat- while she has no prey drive, many cats may find her too enthusiastic for their liking so she would do best in a home with no cats or a home where the cats can easily avoid her.

This little lady is working on her potty training skills and doing an excellent job. She also does well in her crate, with minimal crying or barking. Izzy loves to take a good leash walk, she does pull on the leash so she's working on improving that but luckily, since she's small, it is still manageable. Miss Izzy will puppy bite when she gets really excited and her foster mom is helping her correct this behavior; however, this could be scary for small kids. (This behavior generally happens when she has been playing hard with her foster sister or brother and she is learning quickly to correct this).

Izzy is a super sweet, absolutely adorable little lady who is ready to learn and eager to please you!
