Meet Ivy!<br/>Ivy is a gentle, incredibly sweet girl who has blossomed in foster care. While she's still a sensitive soul, her confidence continues to grow, and it's been a joy to watch her personality shine.<br/><br/>- Very sweet, gentle, and affectionate<br/>- Loves head and back scratches<br/>- Much more confident around the house and enjoys spending time outside in the yard<br/>- Adorably awkward when she plays with the other pets<br/>- Loves the resident small black cat and has a special bond with her foster brother, Walter<br/>- Walks fairly well on a leash<br/>- Good potty manners in foster home. Routine is key.<br/>- Sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, which remains her safe space<br/>- Has found her voice and will give an adorable "woo woo" bark when appropriate<br/>- Still startled by loud noises and sudden movements<br/>- Will thrive with a patient family who allows her to continue building confidence at her own pace<br/>- Another confident, friendly dog would be a wonderful companion for her<br/><br/>Ivy has come so far and is ready for a family who will cherish her gentle heart and continue helping her discover just how wonderful life can be.<br/><br/>***FLIGHT RISK***<br/>Will need to be leashed 100% of the time for several weeks, until she really settles into her new home and routine. As we're 100% volunteer-run, your patience is appreciated!<br/><br/>Requirements And Donations<br/>- Required Adoption Day Items: A martingale collar and a non-retractable leash (available for purchase at ODHS).<br/>- Adoption Donations: Puppies (under 1 year): $375; Adults: $275; Seniors (age-dependent): $175; Select dogs: $500. We accept cash, debit, and credit cards.<br/>- Adoption Radius: Within 350 miles of Fredericksburg, VA. A $50 out-of-state fee applies.<br/>- Breed Identification: Dogs are listed as "Mixed Breed" unless formal documentation is available.<br/><br/>Location And Hours<br/>- Visit our adoption center at 3602 Lafayette Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA 22408 during adoption hours: Wednesday 5-7 PM; Friday 6-8 PM; Saturday 10 AM-4 PM.<br/>- We also host adoption events throughout our community.
