Ivy's Story
YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED APPLICATION IN ORDER TO MEET OUR PETS.

Ivy is a darling 8 year old Chiweenie. She currently weighs 13 pounds but needs to lose about 3 pounds.

Ivy is a sweet, sensitive girl whose owner died recently and she is still learning that she is safe again. Because of this, she needs a little extra time to adjust to new people and environments. It took about three weeks for her to fully open up in her original foster home, but once she does, she’s a gentle, easy companion.

She appears to be house-trained and is very well-mannered indoors. Ivy is used to a crate but doesn’t require one; she’s only crated for safety around larger dogs. When given free run of the dog room, she’s calm and content, happily relaxing in a bed when not playing.

She does well with other small dogs and enjoys her foster sister, but would also be happy as an only dog. Ivy is currently eating her kibble with green beans and baked sweet potato as part of a vet-recommended weight plan.

Ivy's perfect home:

A quiet, patient home that understands Ivy has experienced loss and will allow her time to settle in at her own pace. She would do well as an only dog or with another gentle small dog. A calm environment and a compassionate adopter will help Ivy truly thrive.

Adoption donation $200
