Ivy's Story
Ivy is an incredibly affectionate, medium-energy dog. She hasn't met a human she doesn't love. Ivy is house-trained, crate-trained, and good on leash. She likes playing with toys, is smart, cuddly, and eager to please. She is still learning to be confident and comfortable around other dogs so (for now anyway) we believe she would do best as an only-dog or paired with a calm, older male dog about her size. No cats please.

Back story: Ivy first came to our rescue during the summer of 2022 as a two-year-old mama pup with seven nine-week-old pups. They all lived outdoors in someone’s backyard—hot, dirty, and flea-infested. We addressed her medical needs and would go on to find her a wonderful home. Unfortunately, Ivy’s world was turned upside down in March of 2024 when her adoptive mom unexpectedly passed away. Once a K9 Kismet dog, always a K9 Kismet dog, so we jumped into action to bring her back into the fold. We knew she’d need a safe place where she could begin to heal (and fast) so we enrolled her in a trusted board-and-train facility where she is being assessed and receiving guidance. Boarding is not a long term solution, so we are urgently seeking a foster, foster-to-adopter, or adopter so we can get her back in a home where she belongs.

If you’d like to meet Ivy, please submit an application today!
https://www.k9kismet.org/adopt/adoption-application/
