Ivy's Story

Our super sweet girl who came to us in January was returned in June because she is not a fan of other animals, and was being a menace to cats and chickens. She spent nearly 6 months in a home and her report card is all A+++ in the personality department, but attacking animals on a farm was a deal breaker. We are grateful to the adopters for trying to give her time, and returning her to us when it didn't work out.

With all that being said, Ivy is sad and stressed to be here. This 2 year old american bulldog mix originally came to us after being found in a basement that had icicles and mushrooms growing in it. Not in a cool way either. It was disgusting and she was very, very skinny. She was left behind when her owners were evicted, and was stuck down there until the landlord thankfully found her.

Now healthy and ready for a permanent situation, Ivy needs to be an only pet. She absolutely loves people, and she's playful and sweet and drop dead gorgeous. She has been so nice to everyone she has met so far, and also is such a goofball. She is house trained, crate trained, and is very polite on the leash as long as there aren't other animals around. She has a passion for squeaky toys of all kinds, and usually insists on taking one with her on every walk or potty break. She would probably do just fine in a home with kids, and will love being the center of attention.

Ivy hopes to find her home soon!
