Ivy's Story

Hi there! My name is Ivy, and just like the plant, I can’t wait to wrap myself all around you with love and kisses.

As you can probably tell from my big smile, I am a medium-to-large mixed breed girl with a whole lot of love to give and a motor that never quits. I am roughly 2-3 years old, I’ve been spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and I’m up to date on my heartworm testing.

My past is a little fuzzy, as I was found by Crawford County Animal Control as a stray, in dire need of medical care - thankfully they got me the help I needed, and now the shelter is helping find me a new home.

If you are looking for an adventure buddy who will keep you moving and shower you with endless, enthusiastic kisses the second we sit down, I’m absolutely your girl.
I’m already a total pro on the leash, so you won’t have to worry about me pulling you down the sidewalk during our morning jogs or weekend hikes. I love exploring the world, but I also love making new friends.

I might be open to sharing a home with an another doggo friend, but we would need to meet first to make sure it’s a good fit. Older kids would probably be best, I’m a bit of a wiggle butt. I’m not quite sure how I feel about cats yet since I haven't spent time around them.

I've got my bags packed and my tail wagging, so please come down to the shelter and ask to meet me today! The shelter is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-6pm. If you have questions reach out to AVASCares2@gmail.com or by phone at 989-348-4117. I hope we get to touch noses soon!
